Since we started off this week with a focus on poverty and an image of the Jesus the Homeless sculpture, today we will take look at a church in the middle of one of the largest slums on Earth. Springs of Hope Lutheran Church is located Kibera, a mammoth shanty town in Nairobi, Kenya. The church was actually burned during the riots after the disputed 2008 Kenyan presidential elections. The vibrant congregation is still rebuilding and serving its community.
